As if the Montreal Canadiens aren’t having enough trouble this season, they have now lost one of their best “energy” players until March.
Belleville native Andrew Shaw is out for four to six weeks with what the Canadiens are calling a “lower body” injury. It happened January 13th in a game against the Boston Bruins. At the time the team said Shaw would be out until after the All Star break. Yesterday they extended the timeline.
The robust Shaw has scored 10 goals and 9 assists along with 47 penalty minutes in 43 games for Montreal this season.
