Two men have been arrested after a month-long drug investigation in Northumberland County.
The OPP’s Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau and Community Street Crimes Unit started their investigation in December, and earlier this week charged two men with various drug-related offences.
Officers stopped a 2013 Dodge pickup and searched the vehicle, finding large amounts of fentanyl pills, heroine, hydromorphone, oxycodone, percocet and other drugs.
The approximate total street value of the drugs is $13,000, with officers also seizing more than $10,000 in Canadian cash and the pickup truck.
39 year-old Darryl Throne of Cobourg and 38 year-old Daniel Scott Hulme of Oshawa, are charged with possession of property obtained by crime, possessing cocaine and various trafficking charges.
Hulme was also charged with three counts of breaching recognizance and was held in custody, while Thorne was released with a February court date.
Investigators say more charges could be coming.
