The Hastings County Historical Society has chosen seven locations to commemorate this year for their historical significance.
Each site will receive an explanatory brass plaque.
They are the Bancroft Hotel, Chisholm’s Mill in Roslin, the Village of Lonsdale in Tyendinaga Township, the Thomasburg Spring Garden in Tweed, Memorial Park in Marmora, St. Peter’s Presbyterian Church/Barrack’s in Madoc and the site of the former Corby’s Distillery in Thurlow.
Last year, five historical plaques were placed, all in the City of Belleville, in honour of its 200th anniversary.
