Quinte Conservation is continuing its flood outlook statement.
While warmer temperatures this week should eliminate the formation of new frazil ice, the combination of some snow melt with forecast rainfall could increase river flows and cause ice to break up.
That could lead to ice jams in narrow river sections and bends, around bridges and below rapids.
Quinte Conservation staff are continuing to monitor the conditions, but anyone within the Moira, Salmon, Napanee and Prince Edward watersheds noticing rapid increases in water levels or forming ice jams, should contact them at 613-968-3434.
The flood outlook statement will remain in effect, or be updated before, Monday January 15th.
