It was by the thinnest of margins, but we set a new low temperature record in the Quinte region yesterday (Sunday).
Yesterday’s low, as measured at CFB Trenton, was exactly minus 29 degrees celsius.
The previous coldest temperature for a January 7 in our area was minus 28.9 degrees, set 78 years ago in 1940.
