Quinte West OPP are searching for two people after an assault on Catherine Street last evening.
Police say shortly before 8 p.m. they were called to the home after a man had been assaulted with a weapon by an unknown person.
The victim was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police are looking for a man described as non-white, between 20 and 30 years of age and of average height with a medium build, and a woman, Caucasian, between 20 and 25 years old, with a large build between 200 and 250 lbs.
Police say they would have been travelling on foot in the area of King Street.
