The City of Belleville was his home for three years.
Welland’s Niki Petti was a first overall pick by the Belleville Bulls in the 2012 OHL Priority Selection. He played in the final game for the Bulls against the Barrie Colts in the postseason of 2015.
Wednesday night, Petti will play back on the Yardmen Arena ice. The facility will look much different from his last game.
Petti and the Laval Rocket are in town to meet the Belleville Senators.
The Sens will have some home cooking heading into Christmas, with 5/6 and 6/9 at home before the holiday.
The Sens will be without Ben Harpur or Thomas Chabot, who will be playing against Montreal with the the big club on Wednesday evening.
Macoy Erkamps has been recalled by the BSens from the Bramtpon Beast, the ECHL team where several Habs and Sens players play regularly.
It will also be fans first chance to see Stanley Cup champion Chris Kelly for the first time, after signing for the second time with the Senators organization.
Andrew Hammond has also returned for the Sens, after being called up by the Colorado Avalanche.
