Many staff members at Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital are fitter and in better spirits these days due to a new program and a co-worker who tirelessly promotes it.
Quinte Health Care’s Board of Directors honoured Lawrie Ackerman for her creating and organizing special activities in a recently started “wellness” program at Prince Edward Memorial.
Ms. Ackerman has organized health workshops, fitness classes and has run more fun events like pickleball and horseback riding for the staff, and they’ve been well attended.
