A pair of lockdowns are over at area corrections facilities.
Both lockdowns, at the Warkworth Institution and the maximum security unit at Collins Bay Institution, were put in place on November 3rd.
CSC’s Kyle Lawlor says a number of unauthorized items were found in both searches, but didn’t release what those items were and says normal operations have resumed and visits have been re-instated.
The lockdowns and searches are part of the CSC’s continuing measures to prevent contraband from getting into its facilities and to protect staff and inmates.
