The City of Belleville and AHL Belleville Senators have announced a plan for a “Park and Ride Shuttle Service” on game days, with limited parking available at Yardmen Arena.
Two city transit buses and two school buses will be used to shuttle fans from the Quinte Mall, to the arena and back, at a round-trip cost of $2.50.
The shuttles will start operating from the mall at 5:45 p.m. until 6:40 p.m. on game days, with pick-ups at the Toys “R” Us and Chapters entrances.
Fans should meet the shuttle post-game at the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre bus bay and will be taken back to the mall.
Transit Supervisor Paul Buck says the services will operate at no net cost to the city, thanks to the support of the Senators, Quinte Mall and Meta Employment Services.
