It was a tough Saturday night road loss for the Belleville Senators.
The American Hockey League club let a two-goal lead slip away from them late in the third and ended up falling 3-2 in a shootout to the Providence Bruins.
Ethan Werek and Jack Rodewald scored for the B-Sens.
Assists went to Thomas Chabot, Filip Chlapik, Max McCormick and Nick Paul.
Andrew Hammond made 39 saves on 41 shots in the defeat.
Paul, the 22-year old native of Mississauga, Ont., said the team’s effort level was there despite the loss.
