The United Way of Hastings and Prince Edward is asking those in the community who can help out to do so, as it pushes towards its $1.97 million fundraising campaign goal.
The group says especially with recent area business closures, residents should think of family, friends and neighbours, who may need the help of one of the 75 services and programs supported by the United Way.
To this point, UWHPE has raise $456,458, which is 23% of its goal.
The United Way is also reminding those thinking of making a large donation, that you can double your impact through the Maurice Rollins Leadership Challenge, with Mr. Rollins matching any donation of $1,200 or more.
