A group of students is organizing a “stand-in” Thursday morning with Loyalist College faculty walking the picket lines on campus.
About 190 teaching staff at Loyalist, members of the Ontario Public Services Employees Union are on strike.
They joined faculty at 24 Ontario colleges on the picket lines this week.

Doucette says the teachers know what’s best for students.
Doucette wants both sides to get back to the bargaining table and “come up with a decision that’s best for our teachers. Our teachers are out there fighting for our education and we want to support that.”
These students will walk the picket line until the noon hour.
Meanwhile President of the Student Government C-Jay Stark says the student government will not be part of the picket line and is remaining neutral.
