The Belleville Senators will have to wait a little while longer for their first victory in franchise history.
The American Hockey League club scored the first two goals over the Laval Rocket Saturday night, including Thomas Chabot with the first goal in B-Sens history, but Laval was too strong and they came away with a 6-2 victory.
Those six unanswered goals spoiled a good game in net for Danny Taylor, who stopped 40 of 46 Rocket shots that came his way.
Chris DiDomenico had the other Sens goal. Both tallies came on the powerplay
Final shots favoured Laval 46-19.
The B-Sens are off until Friday, when they head to Syracuse to take on the Crunch. They will then pay a visit to Hershey, PA to face the Bears Saturday. Both games can be heard on CJBQ with Jack Miller.
