Napanee OPP are looking for witnesses to a fatal crash in Quinte West Wednesday afternoon.
Around 3:00 pm, Napanee and Quinte West OPP, fire and EMS officials were called to the westbound lanes of the 401 between Wallbridge Loyalist Road and Glen Miller Road.
A car and SUV collided, closing the roadway.
A 70-year-old woman from Montreal was pronounced dead at the scene, while two people in the car were taken to hospital.
The the driver of the SUV was uninjured.
The highway was closed for six hours, pushing traffic all the way back to Shannonville.
No charges have been late so far.
