Two men face drug and weapons charges after Belleville police stopped a vehicle speeding through the Bayview Mall parking lot early yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon.
After stopping the vehicle, the driver provided a false name and was arrested for obstructing police. Officers then spotted a large butcher knife and a canister of bear mace in the vehicle.
Thirty-two year old Aaron Hills of Trenton was also charged with weapons dangerous, possession of a prohibited weapon, and possession while prohibited.
Meanwhile, a passenger in the vehicle was also found to have bear mace and police located some crystal meth in his sock.
Twenty-nine year old Matthew Brushey of Belleville was charged for drug and weapons offenses.
Both men appear in court October 19.
