Fire destroyed a barn just east of Deseronto early this morning (Monday).
The Napanee Fire Department, with support from Deseronto and Stone Mills Township firefighters, responded to the fire shortly after midnight at 9478 County Road 2.
The barn was empty, as was a nearby house. Fire damage was contained to just the barn.
There were no injuries. Firefighters remain on the scene dousing hot spots.
The cause is under investigation but is considered suspicious.
