Belleville’s Jackie Jarrell scored a goal and assist to help Canada defeat Australia 7-2 at the World Women’s In-Line Hockey Championship in Nanjing China.
Canada is 2-0 including a 16-0 rout of Korea in their opening game. Jarrell led Canada with 4 goals in the victory.
This is Jarrell’s 10th World In-Line Championship with Canada winning two gold medals, 6 silver and one bronze. Jackie Jarrell was Belleville’s Athlete of the Year (Robinson-Kelleher Award) in 2012.
Canada’s next game is tomorrow against Italy.
