A Brighton woman has been sentenced after initially being charged with 6 counts of animal cruelty by the Ontario Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals last May.
Several dogs and horses were found on the property of Linda Redall.
According to Northumberland Today, one horse, an Arabian, had to be put down because of poor health.
Redall pleaded guilty to one count of animal cruelty and was sentenced in court in June. She is prohibited from owning or caring for horses until she completes special courses offered by University of Guelph.
She is also barred from owning or caring for or living with any more than 6 dogs for 2 years.
