The overhaul of the old swing bridge and locks over the Trent River at Glen Ross should begin in October.
A representative from Parks Canada says tenders are out for the job, and a contractor should be chosen by
the end of September.
The old bridge will be shut down for 9 months when construction starts and a detour totaling around 20 kilometres will
be in place.
A parking lot will be built on one side of the bridge, and a temporary pedestrian bridge will be installed.
