Glanmore National Historic Site continues its year-long celebration of Belleville’s 200th birthday and Canada’s 150th, with an exhibit of clothing fashions throughout the ages.
The exhibit, called “Old-Fashioned: 150 Years of Belleville’s Apparel” highlights historic men’s and women’s clothing from the museum’s regional collection.
It shows off the fashions people were wearing in Belleville throughout the decades, men and women, and identifies key style trends from each period, 1860s to the present.
Curator Rona Rustidge says they are all local clothes, and she says some of them are “spectacular.”
The public is invited to attend the exhibit’s opening reception at Glanmore House, Thursday evening 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The exhibit runs until October 8.
