Former Belleville Bulls captain Brendan Gaunce has signed a new two year one way contract with the Vancouver Canucks. The deal is worth $750,000 annually.
Gaunce was a restricted free agent who spent most of last season with Vancouver playing in 57 games but recording just 5 assists. He has played most of his pro career with the AHL Utica Comets. Gaunce is expected to be a fourth line centre with Vancouver this year. The Canucks drafted Gaunce in the first round in 2012.
Gaunce played in 215 games for the Bulls from 2010 until his trade to Erie in 2014. He scored 82 goals and 190 points for Belleville.
