There was a heavy police presence on Old Highway 2 in Bayside on Monday morning.
At 7:30 a.m., Quinte West OPP responded to 881 Old Highway 2 for a report of a break and enter in progress.
Police report the homeowner had awakened and observed two men exiting an outbuilding on his property. The homeowner immediately contacted 911. OPP officers along with the K9 unit attended.
A K9 track was conducted and completed.
The investigation is ongoing. It is unknown at the time of this report if any property had been removed. There were no reported injuries to the homeowner
