The City of Quinte West will likely add to its inventory of industrial land soon.
Quinte West’s Planning Advisory Committee is recommending council approve rezoning a
large chunk of scrub land between CB Freezers and Second Dug Hill Road in Trenton to General
Industrial from Development.
Mayor Jim Harrison says the city recently purchased the property and about half of it would be
suitable for future industrial use. Some of the land is environmentally sensitive and would be
protected from development.
Council will make a decision on the rezoning in the next few weeks.
