A driver who’s been evading police for at least a couple of hours this morning in the Highway 7 corridor is now in custody.
A man driving a black Dodge Ram pickup evaded police in Peterborough earlier this morning and later was being followed by multiple OPP units on County Road 48, north of Highway 7, running between Havelock and Marmora.
There were reports the driver was speeding, passing on the shoulder, and at times, driving the wrong way against traffic.
OPP set up a perimeter in the area and had spike belts ready to be deployed.
The man was taken into custody without incident around 11:15 this morning.
