Another lucky Belleville resident has picked up a big cheque from the OLG.
Gus Morrissey won a secondary prize of $25,000 a year for life, in the June 5 Daily Grand draw, but decided to take a $500,000 lump sum instead.
The married grandfather of four says he plans to pay off his mortgage and car, set some money aside for his son’s education and to celebrate his 40th anniversary by taking his wife to Hawaii and maybe Ireland.
Morrissey bought his winning ticket at the CNIB outlet at the Quinte Mall.
The OLG says Daily Grand costs three dollars per play, with a grand prize of $1,000 a day for life and has approximate grand prize odds of 1-in-13.34 million.
