It was a busy weekend for Central Hastings OPP.
First, officers went to investigate a vandalized vehicle at a Stoco Road residence in Tweed. The vehicle sustained several scratch marks running the entire length on both sides of the vehicle. It was believed to have been done sometime between the evening of June 9 and the morning of June 10.
Then, on Saturday, officers were called to Centreline Road in Marmora and Lake for a break and enter case. They learned that sometime over the last week the suspects forced open a cabin and a Winnebago and stole property including fishing gear, a safe, jewellery and alcohol.
Finally, Central Hastings OPP members investigated a report of eggs being thrown at passing cars on Highway 7 in Marmora early Sunday morning.
The police located the youths involved and discovered they had also thrown eggs on some of the buildings in the local park.
Seven youths returned to the park on the evening of June 11th to do a “community cleanup” of the park, and were warned of the dangers of throwing eggs at passing cars.
Anyone with information on any of these incidents is asked to contact Central Hastings OPP at 613-473-4234 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
