A Belleville grade 11 student could be forgiven for thinking she might become a professional artist.
Nicole Cao’s portrait of a young woman stood out enough at the recent Belleville BDIA Student Art Walk event that it
was purchased by Debbie Shaw for $200.00.

Nicole is a student at Moira Secondary, and her painting was one of approximately 60 pieces created by local students as part of
the Art Walk. The art was displayed in the windows of various stores in downtown Belleville and was exhibited at The Core.
Ms. Shaw said she couldn’t take her eyes off the painting, and just “had to have it”.
