While no local beaches are posted as unsafe due to high levels of bacteria this week, a number of them are closed because of flooding conditions.
Hastings Prince Edward Public Health says Centennial Park Beach in Northport, Echo Beach on Papineau Lake, Fosters Lake Beach, Diamond Lake Beach and Hinterland Beach are all closed, because water samples couldn’t be taken.
The rest of the beaches in the HPE coverage area are open for swimming.
