Quinte Conservation officials say yesterday’s rain didn’t have too much impact on water levels on rivers, lakes and streams across the watershed.
Despite the 32 millimetres we saw yesterday, General Manager Terry Murphy says while some residents may see slight increases in water levels, they aren’t expected to rise high enough to cause any additional flooding.
A flood warning does remain in effect for the shorelines of the Bay of Quinte and Lake Ontario, as those water levels are expected to continue to shift and change, without dropping significantly for the next few weeks.
Safety messages about avoiding waterways and water control structures remain in place and Quinte Conservation staff are continuing to monitor the conditions.
