Police, fire and conservation authorities, with ongoing support from local media outlets of all kinds, have repeatedly warned people to stay away from the banks of rivers and streams, now running fast and and at levels not seen in decades.
However, as citizen Bob M. wrote in an email to Quintenews, “some people just don’t get it”.
