Provincial Police have laid serious charges against one of the transport truck drivers involved in a crash, that killed four people on the westbound 401 yesterday, near Kingston.
Seven vehicles were involved in the crash, around 1:30 a.m. near the Joyceville Road exit, including four transport trucks, another commercial vehicle and two passenger vehicles.
The four people who were killed were in one of those passenger vehicles and police are still trying to identify them.
Investigators have charged 37 year-old Dunhill Tabanao of Quebec with four counts of dangerous driving causing death and two counts of dangerous driving causing bodily harm.
He was arrested at the scene and held for a bail hearing.
The highway was closed for more than 15 hours while investigators pieced the wreck together.
