Three men from London, Ontario have been arrested for using counterfeit money in the Campbellford area.
On May 6, a man used a fake $100 bill at a business on Front Street North and left with his purchase, then businesses on Bridge Street East and Grand Road also reported fake money being used there.
Yesterday morning, two more businesses on Grand Road and one in Hastings reported customers using fake money and a description of a suspect vehicle was given to police.
Peterborough County OPP officers stopped the car on Highway 7, near Highway 115, later that morning and arrested all three occupants without incident.
Each of the suspects is facing nine counts of using counterfeit money, two counts of possessing counterfeit money and various drug possession charges as well.
They were held for a bail hearing in Cobourg.
