Flood monitoring efforts are continuing in Quinte West, as a flood warning remains in effect for the Bay of Quinte.
Staff from the city, Lower Trent Conservation, Trent Severn Waterway and Ministry of Natural Resources are all keeping an eye on water levels in affected areas of the city, although no major flooding has occurred to this point.
If you’re concerned about flooding on your property, sandbags are available at the Trenton Work Yard at 30 Pelham Street and the Frankford Work Yard at 97 Wolfe Street.
Mayor Jim Harrison says the city will be in touch with all relevant agencies to monitor conditions through the next week and will provide updates as conditions change.
He’s also encouraging everyone to be mindful around area waterways and to avoid all water control structures as well.
