It’s almost that time of year again where men across the Quinte area will be asked to strap on a pair of red high heels and strut their stuff through downtown Belleville for a good cause.
The 7th annual Walk a Mile in her Shoes Quinte hits the streets on May 13 to raise funds for Three Oaks Foundation that helps women and children escaping domestic abuse.
Event chair Jennifer Loner and community services manager at Three Oaks said they hope to raise awareness and $25,000. In 2016, the event raised around $22,000.
Loner added, like always, this fun family event has something for everyone.
The walk gets underway at 12 p.m. at Belleville’s Empire Square on Front Street.
Participants are asked to check in and pick up their shoes between 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.
