Don’t forget The Regiment.
At a recent special event on world flash points organized by the Friends of the (Belleville) Library, the Commanding Officer of the Hastings and Prince Edward Regiment described what the storied Regiment had to offer.
Lieutenant-Colonel Chris Comeau told the crowd the Regiment’s goal was to become the number one part-time employer in the Quinte region.
The army reserves offer training, good pay, flexible hours, and a direct pathway to higher education and a career in the Canadian Forces.
And, Colonel Comeau reached out to the local business community, suggesting owners and managers would do well to consider members of the Hasty Ps as part-time employees, as they are very likely to be diligent and responsible in their work habits.
The Hastings and Prince Edward Regiment won the most battle honours of any Canadian regiment in World War 2 and is over 150 years old.
There will be a Regimental Reunion in late September.
