A local school board is saying goodbye to its Director of Education.
Rusty Hick assumed the role in 2009 and is the longest serving director in the Kawartha Pine Ridge School Board’s history.
Hick is leaving the board to take the role of the next Executive Director of the Ontario Public School Boards Association.
Board chair Cathy Abraham praised Hick, saying his main focus was to make the best choices for students.
Hick takes over his new position June 1st.
