The 2017 Dudley Hewitt Cup (Central Canadian Championship) starts next week in Trenton, however no puck will drop before their kickoff dinner. The National Air Force Museum of Canada host the evening and a special guest has been confirmed.
Devin Shore of the Dallas Stars will be in attendance.
Golden Hawks General Manager John McDonald says Shore is a graduate of the OJHL.
McDonald says Shore will take part in the gala for the players and the fans.
Meantime, Glen Healy, former Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender and Stanley Cup champion (New York Rangers 1994) will also be in attendance.
