The final numbers aren’t in yet, but the Quinte region is a lot cleaner now than it was early today (Saturday).
The Quinte Trash Bash is just about done. Today saw hundreds of volunteers fan out in Belleville, Quinte West, Tyendinaga Township, and Prince Edward County to pick up garbage wherever they could find it.
Preliminary figures show that 7 large trash dumpsters will filled in the region, along with 10 recycling carts.
Meanwhile, Quinte Trash Bash organizers are still waiting to hear the results from the School’s Challenge, the Business/Team challenge, and the Municipal Council Challenge.
