The Provincial Government is making another major investment in Loyalist College.
Loyalist will get just over $1.4 million to make upgrades to infrastructure including new labs, equipment and an increase in wireless capacity.
College President Dr. Anne Marie Vaughan tells Quinte News, about $950,000 of that will be used on the college’s Supercritical Carbon Dioxide Extraction Lab.
Dr. Vaughan says another $400,000 will be invested in an ongoing expansion of facilities and equipment on the third floor, to improve the quality of healthcare training that Loyalist provides.
MPP Rinaldi adds, Loyalist has always been held in high esteem and the cash will make a big difference.
The money to Loyalist is part of $50 million being given to colleges across the province, in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Ontario college system.
