There was no disaster, but there was a small evacuation late yesterday in downtown Picton.
According to Countylive.ca, Coach’s Pub and apartments above and around it were evacuated
when one of the walls of the Royal Hotel next door buckled and partially collapsed.
The historic Royal Hotel has been undergoing renovations for some time now.
The building housing Coach’s Pub will remain vacant until repairs are made to the wall.
The Ministry of Labour is involved. There were no injuries.
