If your daily commute takes you over one of our area swing bridges, you’ll have to make some route changes, or expect delays for the next few weeks.
Parks Canada is doing routine maintenance on bridges across the Trent Severn Waterway, including washing, greasing and visual inspections, with the work ongoing through to mid-May.
A number of swing bridges in the region are being affected, including those in Brighton, Carrying Place, Glen Ross, Hastings, Campbellford and more.
Along with complete closures of some bridges in Peterborough and some others outside of our area, maintenance on the following local bridges will likely lead to delays of about 10 minutes or so:
Brighton Road Swing Bridge
Carrying Place Swing Bridge
Glen Ross Swing Bridge
Ranney Falls Swing Bridge (Campbellford)
Hastings Swing Bridge
Bobcaygeon Swing Bridge
