Talks are resuming today between unionized workers with CUPE Local 2073 and the Canadian Hearing Society.
The striking workers have been off the job since March 6th and include hearing counselors, literacy instructors, audiologists, speech language pathologists, interpreters and more.
In a press release CUPE calls it ” the first step toward a resolution and getting back to providing vital services to the deaf and hard of hearing community”.
The labour stoppage affects about 227, with some of them working out of the hearing society’s Belleville office.
