A local group is holding a special evening event in Belleville in support of community gardens.
The Loyalist-Belleville Rotaract Club, in partnership with the Community Gardens Network, is presenting a screening of the documentary Growing Cities.
The film examines the role of urban farming in revitalizing cities.
Spokesperson Carly Tuinman says the idea is to get people thinking about sustainable food systems.

The event takes place at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at St. Thomas Anglican Church in Belleville.
