A Prince Edward County man has been sentenced in Picton Court on gun possession and break-in charges.
47 year-old Richard Caird was charged in 2016 after a joint police investigation into four long-guns, stolen from a home on Big Island.
In February, he pleaded guilty to three of the charges, while the others connected to the case were withdrawn.
Caird has been sentenced to three 12 month prison terms, along with 18 months probation, to be served concurrently.
His two co-accused in the case, Tyson Chernuck and Evan Piirainen are still going through the legal process.
Chernuck is headed to pre-trial on charges of possession of property obtained by crime and knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm.
Piirainen will be speaking to his charges that consist of three counts of possession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition order.
