The value of proposed construction projects in the City of Belleville last month is virtually the same as it was in February of 2016.
Last month in Belleville, building permits worth a total of over $4.8 million were issued.
The biggest project was a permit for a $2.6 million apartment building on Sidney Street, just south of College Street West.
Meanwhile, the value of permits issued so far this year is way up, to almost $18 million.
That compares to just $6.6 million for the same period in 2016.
Meanwhile, proposals for more residential construction continue to roll in to Quinte West City Hall.
Last month, building permits were issued for close to $7 million worth of new residential building.
Permits issued included 13 for single family homes and 7 for townhouses.
The total construction value of building permits issued last month in Quinte West was $7.7 million.
In February of 2016, the building permit value was $2.8 million.
