Good news for Quinte West; it looks like the city will get a new recreational trail in the near future.
Mayor Jim Harrison says he met with provincial officials at the Good Roads conference this week and they agreed the city could buy the 12 kilometre Frankford to Glen Ross former rail bed.
Mayor Harrison says the trail would complement others in the area.

Harrison expects negotiations on the price and transfer of the trail will take about 18 months.
