Hastings County has completed its review of whether or not it should adopt a country-wide policing system.
Last year members of county council had called for a report on whether or not there would be a financial benefit to having the Ontario Provincial Police handle the county-wide policing.
CAO Jim Pine says the 14 member municipalities had a detailed presentation from the Ontario Provincial Police at a recent finance committee meeting.
Pine says they are satisfied that an analysis has been done and the decision was made to have policing stay as a local service.
