The Belleville Police Service was generous with its donation to the United Way of Quinte over the past year.
The total raised by Belleville police was $10,446. Some of the contributions were matched by well known Belleville businessman Maurice Rollins.
The total presented to the United Way was $16,730, almost $4,000 higher than the donation in the previous year.
