A local mayor is looking at moving from municipal to provincial politics.
Trent Hills Mayor Hector Macmillan says he is interested in running as a Progressive Conservative in Northumberland Peterborough South.
Macmillan told the Lorne Brooker Show he has the application and it is sitting on his desk at home.
Macmillan says before his illness, provincial politics never really crossed his mind.
Thursday, he is at Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto, protesting against the Ministry of Health, for not allowing nano-knife surgery for certain types of cancer, including the cancer he had earlier this year.
